arrow About the project

The project aim is to examine the impact of participating in short-term international events of academic character on students’ careers. Project partners are institutions of higher education, members of the PRIME Networking, with considerable experience in the implementation of projects co-financed by the EU funds, whereas the network activities are financed by each institution’s own funds. The Euroweek conference organized by the network supports intensive cooperation between the institutions and the enhancement of the students’ competences.

The project stages will include:

  • Development of software to survey students and companies about the impact of short-term international events on students’ careers;
  • Using the developed tool to survey the students participating in the annual Euroweek conference;
  • Analysis of the preferences of employers with regard to hiring candidates with experience in international events;
  • Creation of a brochure (report) and dissemination of the information among students, employers and European HEIs.

The planned mobilities are essential for achieving the project objectives and improving the quality of cooperation between HEIs, companies and students.

The research results may be a useful tool in shaping the European policy pertaining to financing short-term international activities (conferences, workshops, seminars). The project may also inspire other HEIs to take up in similar initiatives and organize analogous conferences, or even to include them in the university’s study offer.

Possibly, an impulse will be given to work out uniform standards for the recognition of students’ participation in international conferences, especially with regard to qualification recognition for the purposes of future employment.

The project will also result in improving the quality and increasing the volume of cooperation between partner institutions and companies.
